COUNTDOWN TO THE NEXT 1XV HOME GAME

APPLYING TO DURHAM FOR SEPTEMBER 2021

We would be delighted to hear from students who may be keen to come to Durham and happy to provide 1-1 meetings (Zoom / Telephone) regarding the rugby programme and personalised visits and scholarship advice.

Here it is worth noting that we have monitoring systems in place which enable us to support UCAS applications from top class rugby players who also meet the demanding entry requirements of the University – so the earlier we know of student interest the earlier we can help them

The Vaughan Parry Williams Award

Congratulations to head coach Alex Keay who scooped up the Vaughan Parry Williams award recognising his outstanding contribution to the university game.

"Alex Keay of Durham University whose outstanding work at performance level since 2010 has seen his team reaching three BUCS finals at Twickenham, winning the BSR league and four BUCS 7s titles. He has also helped in developing a number of premiership players, while overseeing participation rugby at Durham with a programme which has grown from 36 to 45 men and women’s college and university teams"

Congratulations Keaysie!

BUCS Super Rugby Team of the Year and Player of the Year

After this year's incredible league campaign, which saw DURFC secure the BUCS Super Rugby League Championship, four of our players have made it into the Team of the Year! Huge congratulations to Conteh, Paremain, Bash and Fowlesy for this achievement.

And also, our talisman of a captain Fowlesy was named as the BUCS Super Rugby Player of the Year - very fitting considering the amazing performances, leadership and effort Fowlesy has put in over the season - unreal stuff.
