1875-2025
2025 sees Durham University RFC reach 150 years since it began in 1875.
The sesquicentennial anniversary events at the beginning of May will be a brilliant celebration of 150 years of high level rugby being played at Durham University.

ABOUT US
Durham University Rugby Football Club, founded in 1875, is one of the most successful university rugby teams in the UK. We have produced countless international players including the likes of Will Greenwood and Will Carling.
Our club is dedicated to inspiring a love of rugby among our members, encouraging excellence, both on the field and in our care for each other, and representing Durham University with pride.

APPLYING IN 2025?
We would be delighted to hear from students who may be interested in joining DURFC. We can provide 1-1 meetings (Zoom / Telephone) regarding the rugby programme and personalised visits and scholarship advice.
Here it is worth noting that we have monitoring systems in place which enable us to support UCAS applications from top class rugby players who also meet the demanding entry requirements of the University – so the earlier we know of a student's interest the earlier we can help them
