DURFC 4th XV vs Manchester Met 1st XV

On Wednesday the 10th of October Durham 4th XV met Manchester Met 1st XV, for their first BUCS game of the new season. Man Met started brilliantly scoring tries with ease, the thing that stood out for them was their strong ball carrying, lovely offloading and great support lines.

Man Met had the majority of the ball in the 1st half and were very dominant all over the park; only a smart piece of play MOTM Charlie Blair, sniping from the back of the ruck could get Durham on the board for the first half, with it finishing 54-7 at the break.

The second half was a better one for Durham. They had much more of the possession and managed to grab the bonus point, with 2 intercept tries, one for Dan Richards and another for Charlie Blair too grab his second of the game. There was also another try for Matt Frost after some good build up play. A tough day at the office for Durham, but a well deserved 66-28 victory for Man Met.
