DURFC 1st XV vs Hartpury 1st XV

On Wednesday night the 1st XV took on the reigning champions of England, on a floodlit crum at MC. Durham got off to a good start with barn storming runs from Diogo Hassa-Feirreira and Henry Paremain putting Hartpury under pressure, leading to two penalties swiftly knocked over by Tom Catterick. This was shortly followed by a try from Ben Fowles, off the back of some good interplay form the backs. However, the quality side that Hartpury are meant they were never going to be kept at bay for too long, this materialised with two successive tries towards the end of the first half. The second half started much like the first, with a break from centre Charlie Wilson being finished off by his centre counterpart Charlie Norman. However, as the game went on Hartpury began to dominate territory with their fast defensive line eventually leading to an interception try, giving them the lead. Despite a late surge from the boys in palatinate, Hartpury held out to win 25-23
